AGDH (Asymmetric Group Diffie Hellman) An Efficient and Dynamic Group Key Agreement Protocol for Ad hoc Networks

چکیده
Confidentiality, integrity and authentication are more relevant issues in Ad hoc networks than in wired fixed networks. One way to address these issues is the use of symmetric key cryptography, relying on a secret key shared by all members of the network. But establishing and maintaining such a key (also called the session key) is a non-trivial problem. We show that Group Key Agreement (GKA) protocols are suitable for establishing and maintaining such a session key in these dynamic networks. We take an existing GKA protocol, which is robust to connectivity losses, and discuss all the issues for the correct functioning of this protocol in Ad hoc networks. We give implementation details and network parameters, which significantly reduce the computational burden of using public key cryptography in such networks.

A Novel Approach towards Cost Effective Region-Based Group Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group Communication
This paper addresses an interesting security problem in wireless ad hoc networks: the Dynamic Group Key Agreement key establishment. For secure group communication in an Ad hoc network, a group key shared by all group members is required. This group key should be updated when there are membership changes (when the new member joins or current member leaves) in the group. In this paper, We propos...
متن کاملA Group Key Agreement With Efficient Communication for Ad Hoc Networks
In distributed ad hoc sensor networks, scalable group key agreement protocol plays an important role. They are designed to provide a group of users with a shared secret key such that the users can securely communicate with each other over a public network. In most of previous group key agreement protocols, the number of messages sent by all users increases with the number of all participants. I...
متن کاملAn Authenticated Clustering-based Group Key Agreement for Large Ad Hoc Networks
Group key agreement protocols for wired networks are not applicable in ad hoc networks because of the 1-hop assumption of these protocols and the dynamic, multi-hop attributes of ad hoc networks. An authenticated group key agreement for ad hoc networks is proposed which arranges the group members in a cluster-based hierarchical spanning tree structure. The scheme uses Intra-cluster group key ag...
متن کاملElliptic Curve Based Dynamic Contributory Group Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group Communication over Ad-hoc Networks
The aim of this paper is to propose an efficient and simpler Contributory Group Key Agreement protocol (CGKA) based on Elliptic Curve Diffie Hellman (ECDH). In this CGKA protocol, a member acts as a group controller (GC) and forms two-party groups with remaining group members and generates an ECDH-style shared key per each two-party group. It then combines these keys into a single group key and...
متن کاملSecure Group Communication in Ad-Hoc Networks using Tree Parity Machines
A fundamental building block of secure group communication is the establishment of a common group key. This can be divided into key agreement and key distribution. Common group key agreement protocols are based on the Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange and extend it to groups. Group key distribution protocols are centralized approaches which make use of one or more special key servers. In contras...
